I really like the Atmega, and Attiny families. They&#039;re cheap, easy to program (with ICSP), they can be programmed in pure C,  the AVR-GCC toolchain is easy to install on GNU/Linux, ...

Some of my projects are built for the Teensy2.0 board from PJRC, a cool tiny board with USB bootloader based around the Atmega32u4.</description>
